I'm happy RT took covid precautions and it wasn't super flooded (compared to images of AX right now.yikes). We ended up skipping day 3 as for the past two days we'd just walk around the exhibit hall for hours and occasionally stop and watch the stage or meet RT talents or walk to wait for a panel if there was something of our interest. I was hoping to see more indie game devs (shout-out to Johnny Chainsaw, y'all were super sweet) along with just random booths of brands scattered around the area.

I was hoping for a larger con experience, y'know- full on exhibit halls with local artists and vendors and a mixed bag of things to experience. Overall though I enjoyed almost every minute at the actual convention it seemed like everyone there actually enjoyed RT which made it extra goodįirst RTX experience here and I went with my partner who has been an RTX goer for.years. I went solo which was tough trying to make friends because everyones taste was also pretty different so if I did meet someone I felt like it was just for that time and if I ran into them again, and most groups seemed established but I think that falls on me not being as social and finding people before hand.Īll the evening events were also hit or miss, First Night was great, I was unable to get tickets to Comedy or Theater mode so I went to the community set up bar night which I again went solo and had a lot of groups established there, Rave night was sort of the same but people seemed more eager to just hangout versus the group setting of the bars. A lot of people I ran into all seemed to make the same comment on how much smaller it was but it was sort of a benefit, I didn’t miss a single panel I wanted to go to unless it had conflicting times with another panel (That FaceJam, OTS, and Team Friendly Fire hour) I did feel like the exhibition area was a bit of a let down since you could wander through all the stores and be done in an hour, but overall it let you just have a place to relax and hopefully run into the talent which I was really lucky to do multiple times. I would say 8/10 for me, but this was my first RTX and first convention in general.
